Tulip Time began in 1929 with the purpose of celebrating Dutch culture and heritage while beautifying the community with tulips. Today the fun continues with entertainment, music, variety shows, a Dutch market, parades, klompen dancing, arts & crafts fair, fireworks, and six million tulips!

The Tulip Time Festival is a celebration of Dutch heritage and culture, a multi-generational event that has a little bit of something for everyone. This trip includes four breakfasts, three lunches, four dinners, and accommodations right in Holland so you may more fully enjoy the six million tulips and festival activies without additional daily travel time.
•On your way to Holland, stop at The Henry Ford Museum celebrating yesterday’s traditions as well as today’s innovations, showcasing the people and ideas that have fired our imaginations and changed our lives. Also visit the homes of two auto barons from different eras and the graciousness and culture of how they lived and the hobbies they enjoyed
Highlights of the festival include:
•Acres and acres of tulip and perennial gardens
•Dutch Marktplaats where you will experience the tastes, sights, sounds, and crafts of 19th century Holland as you stroll through a piece of yesteryear
•The Klompen Dancers, a 75-year-old tradition of the festival, wearing handmade costumes patterned after the traditional dress of the Dutch provinces
•A “double Dutch delight” at the Blue Delft Factory as you watch the artists mold, hand-paint, and glaze the only authentic blue and white delftware made in the U.S. Watch a wooden shoe carving on machines imported from the Netherlands
•Windmill Island Gardens, a beautiful oasis with over 36 acres of manicured gardens, dikes, canals, picnic areas, and a 240-year-old working Dutch windmill, “De Zwaan,” meaning graceful bird
•Reserved seating for the grand finale of the festival, the Muziekgroep Parade, featuring marching bands, floats, giant helium balloons, horses, Klompen Dancers, and much more
•“Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance,” a fast-moving song and dance musical revue and luncheon presented by the acclaimed Evergreen Chorale along with festival dancers, a live pit band, and a wealth of colorful pageantry
•A Parade of Barbershop Quartets from near and far in an evening of entertaining you with joyful music that will tug at your heartstrings and humor that will tickle your funnybone
